To Learn Knowledge and Broaden Listeners’ Horizon

From the listeners perspective, a good TED talk can bring knowledge which cannot be acquired through school courses, and can also bring inspiration to their current work or even future development. Facing experts in real life and listening to the frontiers of knowledge really is a great opportunity for us to learn more and broaden our horizon.

To Spread Ideas

Considering not only about the perspective of the listeners, but also considering of the speakers and their ideas, I believe that different opinions from different fields as well as inspiring stories from committed people deserve to be spread, and have to have a platform where they can be heard by more people. Hosting a TEDx event would provide a great platform for sharing ideas and fostering diversity of opinions, creating an open, shared, and innovative environment.

To Promote Student-Based Activities

By hosting a TEDx event, more students would realize the importance of deciding and winning resources by themselves. Through cultivating students’ independence, more student-based activities will be organized, and more students could participate, forming a virtuous cycle. A TEDx event is not only a one-time event, but a lifelong experience.
